Although almost a year old, the Woman's World Magazine Issue January 16, 2017 issue is sure to please. It contains a few neat ideas that I like to call the hidden gems!

Page 6 has a twist on that comfort food known as pierogies. Bake up pizza-rogies! Bake plain pierogies in a casserole dish with warmed marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella and top with thin pepperoni!

Have high blood pressure? Page 18 has some clever tips to lower your blood pressure, such as house cleaning. Moving around and having the sense of accomplishment reduces your production of pressure-spiking stress hormones. Also, eat potassium-rich food such as spinach, sweet potatoes, yogurt or beans, to help the kidneys flush pressure-raising sodium and excess fluids. Also, expose your face to sunlight to lower your blood pressure for an hour.

Then, on page 40, one may learn that you can keep your freezer arctic-like by keeping a jug of water in it. Keep the jug 75% full.
