Sleepless Nights (1)
Have you ever been so tired at night, but your thoughts just continued to race through your head keeping you from falling asleep? Believe it or not, it is very common for people to report being physically tired, but not being able to shut their mind off, especially if they are very excited or worried about something.

Here’s some tips for you on those sleepless nights:

• Tip 1 – Make a To-Do List for the next day.

• Tip 2 – Read a book, but nothing too exciting.

• Tip 3 – Listen to an audiobook, podcast or soothing music.

• Tip 4 – Focus on your breathing.

• Tip 5 – Try guided meditation.

• Tip 6 – Eat a light snack.

• Tip 7 – Get out of bed and do something else.

It’s important to remember that everyone has a sleepless night once in a while, but if you find that your thoughts are keeping you up on a regular basis, it’s time to contact your doctor to discuss your options. Your doctor can help you evaluate your current situation and make suggestions, such as insomnia diagnosis, therapy or sleep medications.
