How many times have you planned to have a successful week, but nothing seemed to get accomplished? Planning for a successful week requires a set of weekly habits and daily practices that you put into place to follow all week. Here are some tips to help you get started:


TIP 1 – Create Short-Term and Long-Term Goals
Let’s face it, successful people are excited about creating goals and making a plan to reach those goals. It’s important to not just write down your goals, but plan to take action to achieve those goals. My suggestion is to make weekly short-term goals and monthly long-term goals.

TIP 2 – Plan for Family Requirements
Successful people place family responsibilities high on their priority list. For example, it’s important to discuss the details for school schedules/events, work schedules, and any planned travel for the week.

TIP 3 – Use a Calendar
Successful people use calendars to organize their appointments and schedules. In addition, you can write follow-up notes and verify your weekly progress.

TIP 4 – Plan for Leisure, Relaxation and Exercise
Success people realize how important it is to balance out their personal and business lives. Make sure to schedule your leisure time, relaxation, and exercise time just like any other appointment. This is a good way to reduce stress and to enjoy life to the fullest.

TIP 5 – Plan for the Weekend
Weekends are important for successful people looking to refresh and recharge after a difficult week. It all starts with a proactive attitude and the need to plan fun activities, such as sports events, family dinner, movies, museums, mini vacation, etc.

TIP 6 – Practice Gratitude Daily
Successful people spend time reflecting on their success and the wonderful aspects of life. My suggestion is to use a journal to write about what you are grateful for. It’s important to do this process daily in order for it to be effective.


So, what are you waiting for? Set those weekly habits, put those daily practices into place, and set some goals. Then, just follow these tips and you will be ready to plan for a successful week ahead.
