Bedtime Mistakes

Bedtime mistakes are often simple little things we do not even realize are affecting our sleep.

However, I do disagree with some to warn you ahead of time.

Here are some of the mistakes as listed on the Self.com website:

1. Have a regular bedtime.

2. Put the phone down and at a different location other than your pillow.

3. Exercise a little earlier.
I disagree. Exercise before bed wears me out and makes me want to go to bed with a sense of accomplishment.

4. Don't eat too much before bed.
I disagree. Have you ever heard of the phrase "don't go to bed on an empty stomach"?

5. Don't have too much caffeine during the evening.
I disagree. I have an evening ritual of iced coffee to unwind.

6. Don't drink too much alcohol before bed.
I disagree. Hello? How many of you have wine during your dinner, on the sofa to unwind or as a simple way to keep your heart healthy before bed?


The easiest of all of these is to have a regular bedtime atleast. If you can incorporate some others, the more power to you.
