Do you know how important it is to start every day with an attitude of gratitude? Gratitude is defined as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness to others. In other words, gratitude expands your soul, softens your heart and brings joy to life.

I suggest you start a Gratitude Journal so you can write down your daily reflections and what you are grateful for. You can start by using the following examples:

I am thankful for...
• something in nature
• someone who has impacted my life in a positive way
• a basic need that has been met (food, clothing, shelter, clean water)
• a particular skill or talent you have
• something new you learned recently
• a song or poem you love
As you can see, gratitude opens your heart to love and it turns what we have into just enough. Be generous, kind, reasonable, forgiving, loving, big-hearted and most of all grateful for each blessing in life.
In addition, be grateful for every second of every day that you get to spend with the people you love. Life is so very precious. I am grateful for everything in my life, what I have now and what I will have in the future.
Take life day by day, be grateful for the little things, and try not to stress over what you can’t control.
